I will be trying to reach out to all of you over the following days to thank you for all the support and messages of encouragement you sent today.
First, I'd like to congratulate Senator John Kissel on winning a hard fought race. He is a gentleman and ran the race as such. I'd also like to thank his family for the sacrifice they have made for our communities and will continue to make over the next two years. I look forward to working with him as we now must tend to solving the issues our state and our district face in the coming years.
This was an incredible day for my family and me. There were moments when I felt as if we would pull this victory off, but in the end we feel just short. This experience has changed my life for the better and it is because of the people I met along the way. I look forward to learning from this and continuing my goal of serving my community as best I can. While I will be contacting all of you over the coming days and weeks, I must thank my family for their dedication, patience and sacrifice. Political campaigns can be grueling on everyone involved. They stuck by me and did everything in their power to make this experience as positive as it was.
To all of you who worked so hard on this campaign - THANK YOU!!!! The election day operation put forward throughout this district was incredible. Jesse Clark and I put over 100 miles on our car today as we traveled to every corner of this district. Volunteers were found at every stop. The turnout was historic and thanks to all of you who played a part in it. This was a day we can all be proud of.I will never forget the time you spent and the effort you put into making this race what it was.
Thank you all for your support. You were all there for me from the start and your trust and friendship through this means more to me than you know. It was an honor to be the Democratic nominee to the 7th Senate District and it is a badge I will always carry with honor.
See you all very soon!
Gratefully yours,
George
